What is the Secret Question / Answer pair?
Self- Service, anytime, anywhere NYIT Username and Password management
NYIT reliably identifies our users using a user selected, personal Question / Answer in case our students, faculty or staff forget their NYIT Username or password. When a member of our community sets up their password, they are asked to select secret questions and provide a reply.
What are the secret questions?
The user needs to select one of the following questions:
- What was the name of your elementary / primary school?
- In what city or town does your nearest sibling live?
- What is your Paternal Grandfathers first Name?
- What is your favorite book?
- What is your first pet’s name?
- What is your favorite Food?
- What is your Favorite song?
- What is your best friend’s first name?
- What is the Make or model of your first car?
- What is the name of the street you grew up on?
- What was your favorite vacation location?
- What was your first phone number?
- What was your Maternal Grandfathers occupation?
What if I forget my Secret Question / Answer pair?
You will not be able to use the self service tool to reset your password,
